Alex booked me to do a Disco for her husband,Matt's 40th Birthday party to be held at the Warren Room,Kingswood Golf Club,Surrey.
A relatively small gathering of sixty or so had been invited ,with a mixture of friends ,family with a few small children,we set up at 6pm and were ready to go for 7pm ,by 7.45pm most of the guests had arrived and were chatting away with some background music being played.
Alex had compiled a list of some of her and Matt's favourite tunes, to be mixed in with other songs the guests request and ones i add in depending on what goes down well. Some really good songs on her list, which were mainly fast so good for dancing including;Timbaland-Give it to me,Baby cakes-3 of a kind,The Jam-Town called Malice,Duran Duran-The reflex,Elton John and Dua Lipa plus Pharrel Williams-Happy.
Towards the end of the evening i played some faster nineties dance including Gala-free from Desire and Darule's Sandstorm, the evening ended off with Brayn Adams-Run to you,Elvis Pressley's-Suspicious minds,Monkees-Daydream believer and the classic sing a long Niel Diamond-Sweet Caroline.
Matt and family seemed very happy and even more happy he managed to avoid a speech!
