Peter booked me to play for his Birthday and for his son William's Birthday who would be 18.Initially it was meant to be a suprise with the idea being Peter would tell people they were going to a friends Birthday at the pub although this went by the wayside as William found out on Facebook that his Dad's friend wasn't having a party!
Most of the guests arrived by 9pm and i entertained them with a selection of songs from the Seventies and Eighties including George Mcrae-Rock You're baby,Michael Jackson-Rock with you,Philys Hyman-You know how to love me,Atlantic Starr-Circles,The Real thing and a few early nineties songs from Kenny Thomas.Much to the delight of his Dad William arrived with his friends just after 9pm which made the numbers up to about 80 which was enough for a good atmosphere.Guests began to dance and some newer songs were played from Jess Glynne,Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars,a few from the mid seventies brought a few more dancers on the floor especially when i played Billy Ocean,The Four Seasons and Candi Staton.Towards the end alot of guests asked for some ska music so we had Madness,Bad Manners,The Specials, some good old sing along tunes were played from Niel Diamond-Sweet Caroline,Mud-Tiger Feet,Foundations-Build me up buttercup,i went out with Frtank Sinatra's New York,New York and gave a lot of Disco cards out for more party's at the Station Inn,Stoneleigh.
