Birthday Party at Epsom Club,Epsom,April 2017

Sandra contacted me late last year regarding booking me for her 50th Birthday Party at the Epsom club in Church Street,Epsom,Surrey.she mentioned i had worked for her years ago and had kept one of my cards.I met her husband,Tim at the venue to see where to set up and park,which is always of use.The date of the party being Saturday 29th April 2017.Sandra contacted me by text to keep me updated,her playlist included songs from Madonna,Rick Astley,Beyonce,Depeche Mode,Four Seasons,Clean Bandit,Earth Wind and Fire,Michael Jackson,Ronettes,Sister Sledge,Black Eyed Pees,James Brown,Cha cha slide(DJ Casper),Los Lobos and many others.

  Sandra must of had about 70 guests attending her lively Party,her sister Sue enjoyed dancing to Sister Sledge and many other requests were played and i added some more songs,the Human League-Don't you want me,Diana Ross and the Supremes-Where did our love go and You can't hurry love,Four Tops-Can't help myself,Rolling Stones-Brown Sugar,Arthur Conley-Sweet soul music,The Foundations-Build me up Buttercup,The Archies-Sugar,Sugar.Towards the end of the night one of Tim's freinds came and asked if i had a song from Sham 69 called Hurry up Harrty(we're going down the pub) i had the song but announced i'd never played it live before!   It went down well with Tim and his friends especially when i added the Strangles and no more heroes and  the Jam going Underground followed by a Town Called Malice.

     Some 'Glam Rock' songs followed by T Rex,Mud and Showaddy Waddy,to end with i played Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline,Monkees -Daydream believer,Elvis Presley-Wonder Of you and finally Frank Sinatra's New York,New York.The guests went home happy after a busy night where they enjoyed a Photo booth as well,Sandra said she'd be in touch about another Party in due course!
