Charity Disco at Epsom Downs,Surrey

A lady called Shivaun contacted me about three weeks before this charity event was due,she had another DJ booked but he had let her down(not sure why) and could i help her out?

The event was a fund raising do which they had done before in aid of PWSP(Prader Will Syndron) a wonderful charity which her family and friends have been supporting since her neice had been diagnosed with this rare disease.The event was held at the Derby suite at the Queens stand,Epsom Downs,Epsom,Surrey which i've worked at before and is a really good venue with splendid views of the downs,the set up incorporates a small stage with plenty of room for my equipment.

The event compromised of a dinner,raffle and auction,amongst the many auction items there was a signed football from Chelsea FC which went for £350.Soon after the dinner and auction the guests slowly but surely made there way to the dance floor.A variation of music was played until 12.30am starting with some Seventies Disco including the Four Seasons,Billy ocean,Candi Staton,The Real Thing,Earth wind and fire,The Bee Gees,other songs played were Jackson 5 I want you back,Four Tops-I can't help myself,some nighties/Noughties-Ultranate,Bobby Brown,Kym Syms,Robin S,Cameo,Mark Morrison,later some cheesey songs from Wham,the Nolans,Abba and Showwaddywaddy with some requests thrown in including Stevie Wonder,Michael Jackson and a rare playing of Monents and Walnuts-Girls which had many dancing it ended up a gret night.Final songs were the Foundations-Build me up buttercup and the Take that classic Never Forget.
