New Victoria hospital booked me for they're Beach party summer bash at Surbiton golf club in Surrey.
I have worked for these people before and they are a lively lot varying in ages from 20 to 60.
As the evening was so beutiful most of the guests sat outside to start to view the magnificient golf course and enjoy they're drinks which were all on the tab!
I started the music just before 7.15pm with most of the guests arriving by 8pm,I tried some new mixing for the background with Cron Heights affair-You gave me love,David Joseph-You can't hide your love , Oliver Chatham-Get down Saturday night followed by Shalamar's Take that to the bank.Lots of Summer songs to follow including Atlantic Starr-Every body's got Summer,Beach Boys,Central Line-Sunshine,The Don Henley's -Boys of Summer,Katrina and the waves-Walking on Sunshine and Lonyo with the Summer of love.
Most guests started coming back inside by 9.30pm as it was gradually getting darker and they were more in a mood to dance, lots of Nineties dance classics such as Black Box,Ultra Nate with some Eighties from Lionel Riche with Dancing on the ceiling,Luther Vandross, Seventies too from Abba,Billy Ocean,Donna Summer and the Four Seasons. For the older guests I played some Motown followed by The Fat back band and I found Loving, Madness and It must be love with the popular sing a long song to finish with Niel Diamond's Sweet Caroline.
Hopefully we'll be back there next year.
