DJ at 50th Birthday,Surrey

Late February i had a call from a local lady called Michelle who had been looking for a DJ for her Mum's surprise 5oth Birthday which was to be held at a pub in Chessington,Surrey,the date being 16th April 2016 she had spoked to a few other DJ's who were cheaper than me but had no web site so she could not gauge the quality of the DJ's work or see any pictures after reassuring Michelle it was worth paying a bit extra she gave me all the neccesary details then made the booking with me,the venue being the William Bourne in Chessington,Surrey.

    A lot of planning went into this one as with all surprise's but it all went off well,unusually for a surprise Janice arrived shortly after the 7.30pm planned time often they are late by 20 minutes or more so there wasn't such a big nervous build up to her grand entrance it was straight in,no delays and she was greeted by her family and friends wonderfully singing Happy Birthday shortly followed by Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday by me.

    It took Janice a while to get over the shock of all her friends and family surprising her but she seemed very happy with the occassion,some mid seventies soul tracks followed Stevie Wonder,like George Mcrae,Tavares,Michael Jackson and The Real Thing.Later i played some Eighties/Nineties Soul funk including Gary Byrd,the fatback Band,Steve Arrington.Quite a few new chart songs went down well and towards the end another singing of Happy Birthday as she cut her cake.

   I followed this with some oldies such as Stevie Wonder-Superstition,The Beatles-I wanna hold you're hand and a couple of Rolling Stones tracks-Brown Sugar and Satisfaction then Elvis and Burning Love followed by Suspicious Minds and ending off with the Monkees-Daydream Believer and Frank Sinatra's New York,New York.An emotional Janice did a rousing speech at the end and said she had a great night.
