Surprise Birthday Party at Dia Y Noche Lounge,Epsom

I was booked at this new exciting bar in Epsom called the Dia Y Noche Lounge(Spanish for day and night) for a friend of the management called Donna who was having a surprise 50th Birthday .Donna was told she was being taken for a meal by some of her family but on route turned up at the Dia Y Noche to be surpised by more of her family and lots of friends,on her entrance i played Cliff Richard's Congratulations followed by Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday and Kool and the Gang's Celebration.

   Donna looked surprised when she came through the door and when i spoke to her later she wasn't hiding it.it was totally out of the blue!

     As there were many different age groups at the party i played a variety of music,some Disco from the Seventies,Motown,Chart,Eighties and Nineties soul and Funk plus some good sing a longs including Niel Diamond's Sweet Caroline,Foundations-Build me up Buttercup,finishing with the Monkees-Daydream Believer and Elvis presley's The Wonder of You,as there was still a minute to go before midnight Frank Sinatra finished off procedings with New York,New York.
