Wedding DJ

I am a wedding DJ based in Epsom. I have played at over 120 weddings all over Surrey and the surrounding areas since beginning my disco. Your wedding day is the best day of your life, so it’s important not to overlook booking a good DJ for your reception.

In more recent times people have chosen to hire equipment and use their own devices (laptop,tablet, ipad) which does make a saving but there are some pitfalls - who puts the music together on the night? The choice of music  can often lead to arguments unless there’s a designated person to over see it and even if there is he or she will probably of not been driving so would have had a few drinks. The other problem is hire equipment is rarely as good as a top dJ’s and if something went wrong are there any spares provided (not usually)

Every wedding is a little different so I have no set price - just a rough idea to work round would be £300 for a four hour set (this price includes set up time, which is approx.50 minutes)

if an early set up time is required then this isn’t a problem (there is an added cost for this service) At some weddings the couple may choose to have some background music during the meal is too is an option (price depends on the hours)You’re first dance or sometimes dances are very special, obviously I’d check with you which songs you would like played and sometimes there is a different version that you may require which I’ll make sure I have.

One of the first things I’ll do after I have set everything up and done my sound check is to double check through my headphones the first dance is all ok, on some occasions there may be a special request for me to say over the microphone after the happy couples special song/songs for a family member or someone who can’t make the wedding I’ll make sure that song is ready too.

Once you have chosen you’re venue and hopefully chosen to book me I can always meet you at the venue to see where to set up and which are the best entrances and exits and where’s best to park. This might not be necessary as I may have already worked there several times already but if you’d like to meet me there anyway this isn’t a problem.

Often after the first dance/s other couples will get up for a few more slower dances then they often stay for something a little faster, requests are taken on the night and I’ll fit them in for you when I can, people do take rest from the dance floor but usually come return after a visit to the bar! My aim is to get them dancing but I do have patience, for example on a hot summers evening if there’s a pleasant outside shaded area people will want to stay out there until it gets a bit cooler and whatever I play they won’t rush in!

Email requests a few weeks before you’re big day of any particular songs you would like played on the night are welcome and of course any last minute songs .My sound system is adequate for up to 300 guests 2x 1k JBL speakers,2 Sterling 300W Speakers American Audio mixer and Cirtonic Mp3 players) Lighting consists of two Kam lasers, 2 Equinox moving head lights,UV lights,fog from a compact fog machine(if permitted) are all included within the price, spares are always carried in case of any problems
